President Buhari has congratulated Nigeria’s Super Eagles on their Friday’s astounding win against Cameroon.
The Super Eagles defeated Cameroon 4-0 in a 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
The goals were scored through Odion Ighalo, Mikel Obi, Victor Moses and Kelechi Iheanacho.
The President, in an announcement issued via his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, joined tens of millions of football-loving Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora in applauding the senior men’s soccer team.
President Buhari praised the Super Eagles for their disciplined, skillful and pleasing display in opposition to the defending African champions.
The president mentioned that with the exhilarating victory, Nigeria was on the verge of qualifying for the World Cup in Russia 2018.
