Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to President Muhammadu Buhari, speaking to THISDAY on Monday defined why the Commander in Chief will be working from his professional dwelling having returned to the country.
He stated that as a result of the president’s 103-day clinical holiday in the UK, his workplace was infested by rodents, causing havoc to the furnishings and air conditioning units.
“As a result of the three months duration of disuse, rodents have induced a lot of damage to the furniture and the air conditioning units,” he said.
Shehu, who stated that he couldn’t say when the renovation work will be completed, added that the improvement will not have an effect on the president’s work because the house has an annex to the office.
He, however, said the upkeep agency has been asked to pace up its work.
